About the Conference
We are gathering all the relevant people for sustainable mobility development for the future. The National Cycling Conference is a biannual event, which has taken place since 2002. The national event is owned by the Norwegian Cyclist Association.
The participants attending the conference works for municipalities, counties, ministries, The Public Road Administration and various private companies involved in cycling in several ways.
In 2022, we gathered almost 400 participants in Hamar, Norway.
September 2024 in Stavanger
In 2024, the conference will take place in Stavanger, the energy capital of Norway. The Minister for Transportation will be opening the conference on Wednesday, and our Keynote speaker is prof. Carlos Moreno. The conference is held during 4.-6. September.
During these days almost 400 people will be gathered over four plenary sessions, and approximately 14 parallel sessions. The conference covers a wide range of topics within sustainable mobility, public health and urban development.
There will be a cycle parade on Thursday, as well as public cycling activities for the public of Stavanger and the surrounding cities and areas Sandnes, Sola, Randaberg, daily.
Collaborators 2024
The bicycling conference 2024 is a joint event together with the Rogaland county municipal, the local municipalities of Stavanger, Sandnes, Randaberg and Sola, as well as with the public transport company in Rogaland, Kolumbus AS, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration (Statens vegvesen) and Trygg Trafikk.
